This is one of Samara’s favorite products to make. The whole kitchen smells so beautiful with the blend of Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Peppermint and Wintergreen Essential Oils and Organic Peppermint leaves. This combination is so invigorating!

Enjoy this aromatic scrub on your feet as often as you’d like. It can also be used on hands and elbows. Made with Organic Coconut Oil, this scrub leaves skin moisturized and hydrated. Pour it in a tub or small container to soak feet and inhale the aroma. The vapors from the oils and herbs are not only beneficial for your skin, but for an overall feeling of wellness.

Why use Peppermint and Wintergreen Essential Oils in our Foot Scrub?

For starters, Peppermint acts as a cooling agent so to help hot and tired feet we would not use anything else but Peppermint. It is also a great “pick me upper” and helps with energy and alertness.

Now, Wintergreen not only does it smell amazing, but it is great for inflammation and pain. We have tried and loved the effect of Wintergreen on tired, sore feet. Putting these two Essential Oils together is a perfect blend and balance for our scrub.

It’s a win win combination!

The more we learn about the benefits of Essential Oils, the more we want to share with others. This is why we have focused this week on providing information and sharing resources for your convenience. Below is a link to our doTERRA web page in which you will find an intro to Essential Oils. It covers the definition, history, uses, extraction, grades, and safety of Essential Oils. We have chosen doTERRA Essential Oils, because we truly like their purity and quality. However, after you learn about EOs you will have a mission to find the ones that you trust and like the best. Our mission is to use what we trust, provide quality products and educate.

Ok, so Samara shared this on her homeschooling blog (yes, both the sisters homeschool their kids! And love it!) and since a lot of you like DIY projects the sisters thought this could be useful, especially if you have a big family. Take a look, enjoy and share!
What follows is what was posted on the homeschooling blog:

“A friend of mine shared the new way she is doing their children’s chore charts and I found it super cute, useful, resourceful and original! This is perfect for a big family and very efficient with chore changing. I’m sure the materials can be easily found at your local store and you can tweak it according to your needs. A big thank you to Sandy for allowing me to share! Enjoy!”

Here is a neat infographic that we thought we should share. Quite concise and practical to get a bit of info on Essential Oils and their benefits. Enjoy!

Sure you have noticed we LOVE Essential Oils! However, our knowledge about essential oils did not come overnight and it continues to expand. We truly enjoy learning about all the many benefits that essential oils have. We want to share with you some books that have been very useful as guides and information.

One of our favorites is “Modern Essentials Usage Guide: A Quick Guide To The Therapeutic Use of Essential Oils”. There are two versions of this book, a mini guide and a full version. These guides cover everything from the Science to the Application of essential oils. To learn more about the book click here for the mini guide or here for the big version of the book.

Another useful book is “The Healing Intelligence of Essential Oils“. It is an in-depth book, but easy to understand at the same time. Check it out by clicking here.

Hope these are helpful! If you have any book suggestions, please feel free to share! We value your input and feedback!

We went to one of our favorite coffee shops in our neighborhood in Daegu and they had changed decor.  I immediately noticed these cute hanging plants and their “pots”.  I have not tried to make one, but it looks simple enough and it’s a great way to recycle old light bulbs.

I just had to share, because it is a very clever idea!
